Specifications

Compatibility and Usage

Arrange the source and display connections according to the supported input and output pattern. Select the source or display you want to use, then check the screen’s input setting. Where external power is specified, connect a suitable supply before testing the intended video mode.

A switch selects a signal path. It should not be treated as a device that creates several independent images from one source. The available resolution, refresh rate and audio features depend on the connected source, cables and display as well as the switch’s stated capabilities.

Label cables when several devices share the same screen so selecting an input remains straightforward. Test each source separately during setup and confirm that picture and sound reach the intended destination. Leave the selector accessible and support the attached leads to keep cable weight off the small connection points.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is a switch the same as a splitter?

No. A switch selects between supported signal paths, while a splitter sends one source to several outputs. Choose the function that matches the planned equipment arrangement.

Will every display show content at once?

Use the specific connection behaviour stated for this model. Where one output is selected at a time, connecting another display does not enable simultaneous pictures on both screens.

What should I check if the chosen source is missing?

Check the selected switch path, display input and cable seating. Confirm that the source is awake and producing a mode supported by the complete connection.

Can I leave the connected cables unidentified?

It is easier to manage the setup when each lead is associated with its source or display. Label the connections during installation so selecting a path or checking a missing picture does not require repeated unplugging.
