Specifications

Compatibility and Usage

Check that the charger’s input requirements match the vehicle socket before use. Insert the charger securely and connect a suitable cable to the required USB port. Set up the phone and cable while parked, routing the lead away from the steering wheel, gear selector, pedals and other vehicle controls.

The connected device must support the available charging protocol to use a faster charging mode. Port ratings and combined ratings describe different limits. If several devices are connected, allow for the available power distribution rather than assuming every output supplies its highest individual rating at the same time.

Before a journey, check that the device shows a charging indicator and that the charger sits firmly in the vehicle socket. Keep spare cable length gathered away from moving parts. The vehicle determines when its accessory socket supplies power, so confirm socket behaviour for your particular car.

Frequently Asked Questions

What affects charging speed in the car?

The device, selected output, charging protocol and cable all matter. A device may reduce its charging rate as the battery fills or when its temperature changes during use.

Can I use my existing phone cable?

Yes, if its connectors and charging capability match the charger port and phone. Check that the cable can reach comfortably without crossing controls or pulling on the device.

When should I adjust the charging setup?

Connect, remove or reposition equipment while the vehicle is stationary. Place the device securely before driving so the charging cable does not become something that needs attention on the road.

Does the charger determine when the vehicle socket is active?

No. Socket power depends on the vehicle’s electrical arrangement. Check whether the socket remains powered after the engine is switched off, and follow the vehicle’s guidance when leaving accessories connected for longer periods.
