Specifications

Compatibility and Usage

Connect the USB-C end to a suitable charger or computer and the Lightning end to a compatible Apple device. Check the actual device socket before purchase: Apple products use different connector types across generations. A cable designed for Lightning does not fit a device whose charging socket is USB-C.

For supported fast charging, the source, cable and device must work with the same charging system. During computer use, approve any trust or access prompt on the device before attempting a supported data connection. Keep the cable comfortably within reach so the phone can rest securely while connected.

This connector arrangement is useful when keeping a Lightning device in service alongside a USB-C charging source. Before arranging the charging area, compare the available cable length with the distance to the outlet or computer. Allow enough slack to set the device down without leaving it suspended from the cable.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does a higher cable rating make every iPhone charge faster?

No. The device accepts the charging profile it supports. The charger capability, battery level and operating conditions also affect the actual charging rate.

Can I connect the Lightning end to a USB-C phone?

No. These connectors have different shapes. Select a cable with the device-end plug that matches the phone instead of trying to force the connection.

How should I handle the cable each day?

Hold the plug when disconnecting and avoid bending the cable sharply at the connector. Store it in a loose coil with the ends kept clean and dry.

What should I check when using a phone case?

Make sure the connector can seat fully through the case opening. Keep the cable aligned with the phone port and leave enough slack to place the phone down without a sideways pull on its socket.
