Specifications

Compatibility and Usage

Connect the dock to a compatible host and attach each accessory to its designated port. Display output through USB-C requires the host to support the relevant video function. For pass-through charging, connect a suitable external charger to the stated PD input rather than assuming that every USB-C socket supplies power.

Choose mirror or extend in the computer’s display settings as supported by the system. The number of independent screens and available resolutions depend on the host, operating system, dock and display connections. Multiple video sockets alone do not guarantee that every computer can produce the same extended desktop arrangement.

Start with the host and one display, confirm that the expected image appears, and then add the remaining equipment. This makes the connection roles easier to check. Keep the dock supported near the computer and leave enough cable slack to prevent a monitor lead from pulling on the host socket.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will HDMI work from any USB-C port?

No. The host must support video output through that connection. Check its specification before using a USB-C dock for a monitor, television or projector.

Does a PD input rating equal power delivered to the laptop?

Not necessarily. The dock may use some input power itself, and the laptop must support the negotiated profile. Use a suitable charger and cable for the complete setup.

Can all connected peripherals run at maximum speed?

They share the available host connection and have their own limits. Port generation, storage speed and simultaneous activity determine practical data-transfer performance.

What should I check for a presentation setup?

Test the complete host, dock, cable and display arrangement in advance. Confirm the chosen screen layout, readable resolution and audio destination, then leave the connections accessible so you can make routine adjustments without disturbing the equipment.
